About
Hello! My name is Jeff. I started Jeff Gacad Photography (originally as Stingray Photo Imaging) back in 2013 just as a way to show my photos on Facebook. This has since grown to the website you are viewing today. Photography has been an interest of mine for quite a long time. My first camera purchase was an Olympus point-and-shoot. Through the years, I upgraded my cameras and switched to Canon gear. When I decided to get more serious about my photography, I finally got my first DSLR, a Canon 80D. I have graduated to full frame and am currently a Sony shooter and loving it!
I am originally from the Philadelphia area and attended college at West Virginia University with a degree in Advertising. After working in that field for a few years, I made a dramatic career switch and became a marine mammal trainer. I have been doing this over 20 years. 2010 brought another change for me and I made the move to Southern California for work and now call Seal Beach my home.
I feel that in photography, you never stop learning, and so I am always trying to improve my skills. I hope you enjoy my photos and will join me on my journey!!

“To me, photography is an art in observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place...I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
